I am a wife of 22 years and mother of 4; three sons and a daughter, ages 18, 16, 15 and 12, respectively. I was saved at the age of twenty in a full-Gospel, non-denominational church. Although I had been to church in my life and heard of salvation, it was not a life-changing experience until then. My husband was raised in a full-Gospel home but had wandered astray. The Lord was so good to save us when our first son was only 4 months old and allow us to raise our children in a Christian home. I am a stay-at-home mom, have been for the most part since our oldest son was 2 years old, homeschool, along with many other duties: cook (GLUTEN FREE!!), planner, launderer, house keeper, appointment maker, pool & spa maintenance person, horse overseer, financial manager, nurse, assistant, and supervisor, to name a few. ;~)
The past 18 years I have filled several journals with my experiences, thoughts and feelings. Writing has always been a passion of mine. There have been many times the Lord has given me glimpses of some type of ministry geared toward encouraging women like myself, but in the past months it has become clearer. Encourage, strengthen, empower; hold up your hands.
I am not trying to convince anyone of anything. If you have been led to this site, study these principles and compare them to God’s word, pray and ask God’s enlightenment, and apply them to your particular circumstances. God’s word guides us.
There have been a lot of ups and downs, so many difficult lessons to learn, many bitter tears to cry, but the Lord has been so good and so faithful to us. In the pages of this website I will endeavor to share some of the places I have been in an effort to encourage other wives and mothers and offer hope in a world where hope is so desperately needed.
We live near West Palm Beach, Florida. We currently have FIVE horses (one paint filly: Simply Irrestible ~or Lady to us,a 10 yo quarter horse gelding named Roper, and a 12 yo POA mare named Shania Dot Com, and a 7 yo Quarter Pony mare that I think we're going to call Sugar, and the best pony in the world, a 4 yo POA (Pony of America) named Harley. My youngest two kiddo’s ride barrels at NBHA disctrict 5. We also have a gorgeous full blooded boxer named Daisy, two kitties (Spy & Fox, female) and a little flock of chickens. We are starting our very first organic garden this year!! We are blessed to attend a fabulous non-denominational Pentecostal church in West Palm Beach, called Shekinah Christian Assembly; pastored by the most humble and “right on track with God’s word” person I have ever met, Pastor Joseph Garrett.
BELIEFS
- I believe that the Holy Bible contains the inspired word of God (II Timothy 3:16, II Peter 1:21, Rev. 22:18-19).
- I believe there is one God and that he came to this earth robed in flesh, as the man Jesus, to redeem unto Himself a people who could never make it to heaven otherwise (Romans 3:20, Galatians 2:16, 3:21-22, I John 1:8-10, Romans 7:14-25).
- I believe in the Baptism of the Holy Ghost, with the evidence of speaking in other tongues, which He promised to send; who gives us power to live an overcoming life (Acts 1:4-11).
- I believe we are all born in sin and shapen in iniquity; that we have a sinful, Adamic nature; we are fallen sons of Adam (Genesis 3, Psalm 51:5, Matthew 15:18-19, James 1:15, 4:1).
- I believe that we can be forgiven and saved from an eternal fate of hell through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ (I John 4:5, Heb. 11:1-6, Romans 10:17).
- I believe that faith works, faith is not something we merely profess; that no person can be “good” enough, religious enough, or Holy enough to make heaven on their own merit (Romans 3:23, James 2:14-26).
- I believe that when a person is truly saved, or reborn, their life and their thinking undergoes a major transformation (Romans 6:6, II Cor. 5:17, Eph. 4:22-24, Col. 3).
